In April this year, Kassy discovered a lump while breastfeeding her daughter. Having had completed six months of chemotherapy, it was recently decided that the next step was to undergo a double mastectomy. This procedure will be taking place on the 11th November 2014 . Kassy also requires a specific medication to be administered intravenously for the next 18 months to curtail the recurrence of any cancer. While the medical aid has covered 80% of the treatment, around R120 000 is for her own account.
A few of the moms from the school that their children are attending, have gotten together to have a fundraiser for Kassy to help with her enormous R100 000 shortfall from the medical aid.
The fundraiser will be taking place on the 29th November 2014. Limousine Extreme has agreed to sponsor one of the prizes to help fetch a higher price at the auction. We have also agreed to give Kassy 10% profit share of all our Pink Limousine bookings for the month of November.
